Freezing Water

EFFECT: The magician pours some water into a cup, he blows on the cup, and turns the cup upside down. When he turns the cup upside down some ice cubes fall down.

MATERIALS: You will need a cup that you can't see through, a small sponge, and some ice cubes.

METHOD: Prepare the cup by putting the sponge into the bottom of the cup. Drop a few ice cubes on top of the sponge. To perform this trick show the spectator the cup making sure that he can't see the sponge, and the ice cubes. Start by pouring a small amount of water into the cup, blow on the cup, and turn it upside down so the ice cubes will fall.

TIP: Don't pour a large amount of water into the cup because the sponge may not absorb all of the water.
